One of the challenges with existing sprinkler systems, especially in this region of South Carolina, often includes brittle PVC installed in the 90s with a technique sometimes called 'hard piping'. Essentially everything in the ground is rigid and doesn't flex very well. As the pipe looses it's integrity & becomes brittle, you don't need a ton of weight rolling over a sprinkler head to cause a leak or entirely break the rigid piping below. We see it a bunch, sometimes even on more recent construction with newer pipe using the same technique.
Give us call, there is very little in this business that surprises us anymore. We've seen a LOT of 'creative' install techniques that from day one were guaranteed to fail much sooner than they should have.

Based on a high number of positive reviews, I called Zone 1 with a semi-emergency. They responded right away and were on site in less than 45 minutes. ... After moving hoses and sprinklers around for the last few years, I decided to look into having an irrigation system installed. Recommended through angi, Zone 1 responded immediately with an estimate. After consulting reviews online, I went with Zone 1. From the first contact, Giorgio responded quickly to answer my questions and explain the process. We scheduled the install for a few weeks out. Not long after, I was thrilled when contacted with a much closer date (less than 2 weeks)! Giorgio and his team showed up on time and began the job. After beginning, it was determined that several areas of my yard had to be hand dug because of existing utilities, etc. Even with extra labor, the estimate remained the same.
